First things First ! The Caterer of Sound is back with a new video!

This time I took the extra time and effort to learn more video effects for all the viewing pleasure. Learning adobe after effects is actually not that bad once you get the hang of it. Who would have known all it take is a few hours to acquaint yourself with new software to unlock the endless possibilities of creative video? You give a man a fish, and he will east for a night, you teach him to fish and hell eat forever. It is all just finding the right elements to put in a video and letting your imagination run wild. Of course I’m boosting it just a little.

The Learning Curve

I would say the hardest part about using video editing software, specifically adobe after effects, is that my computer seems to just simply not be powerful enough! When I am editing a video my computer uses about 90 percent of the ram (out of 16 gigs) . This reminds me of 2008 when my computer had a single Atom core and one gig of ram. This meant you literally can only do ONE thing at a time. The shortcomings from that are awful. Image you can only type a paper or only do a Skype call or only watch a video at a time. This was me, the good old netbook days.

Today

Fast forward to 2019 and here we are with 16 times that amount of memory and 8 times the amount of processing threads and we still are not quite there yet! Its high time I upgrade to the new snazzy core i9 processor and slap in another 16 gig of ram, but that may be overkill for occasional video editing and gaming, not to mention I am also running the nvidia RTX-2070 where all the rays are traced (exaggeration) . What are you gonna do?

In any case, enjoy the video!

You can always stream music on our website also here.
